Matthew 5:14
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

In today's increasingly polarized society, it often feels like civility and kindness are becoming rare commodities. The political climate has intensified our focus on choosing sides and highlighting differences, causing us to lose sight of what truly connects us as human beings. Instead of building bridges, we find ourselves burning them.
As followers of Christ, we are called to a higher standard. The scriptures remind us that we should be peacemakers, not peace breakers. So, I pose this challenge to you: instead of pushing an agenda, can we push for peace?
This doesn't mean abandoning your beliefs or compromising your convictions. Rather, it's about leading with love and promoting harmony in a world that desperately needs it. Matthew 5:14 tells us we are to be the light of the world. We're not meant to blend in with the darkness or participate in it, but to stand out by following Jesus' example.
Our role is clear: we must shine our light in a way that illuminates the path to peace. This means:
1. Listening with empathy, even to those we disagree with
2. Seeking common ground instead of focusing solely on differences
3. Responding to hostility with kindness and understanding
4. Promoting dialogue instead of division
By embodying these principles, we can create spaces in our little corner of the world where peace flourishes and where our love for Jesus shines brightly for all to see.
In the coming days, I encourage you to meditate on scriptures that inspire peace. Let these words guide your interactions and influence your approach to conflicts, both big and small. As you do, you'll find yourself becoming a beacon of hope in a world that sorely needs it.
Remember, in a world that's quick to anger and slow to understand, your commitment to peace can make a profound difference. Let's build bridges, not walls, and show the world the transformative power of Christ's love.
"If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all."

For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it."

Remember that when we lead with retaliation it yields regret when we promote peace, we lead with God's purpose for us... to love one another and to glorify Him!
Sow seeds of peace always, sweet friend!
