John 13:34
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
I love traditions and creating new ones! One of our new traditions and ways that we are spreading some Christmas spirit and love is through the 12 Days of Christmas. We are told in scripture to care and serve others, we are commanded to love our neighbor and what better time to shower someone with love than Christmas time, a time that represents our ultimate gift... the birth of Christ, who came to save the world.
Is there someone you know who is having a tough time, who needs a little extra love, who is ill, or a widow, an elderly person who lives alone, or anyone in need of a little display of love and thoughtfulness? Then think about doing the 12 days of Christmas for them!
How does it work?
It's simple! Get 12 gifts for 12 days! This doesn't have to be costly, matter of fact giving a thoughtful gift from the heart is what makes it very special. Once you get the gifts wrap them up and either drop them off at the person's door daily or wrap them all and number them 1-12 individually, and put them in one big Christmas bag.
